World's Fair Christmas Gift Ideas

Today's Christmas gift ideas come from our World's Fair poster collection on Vintagraph. These posters were produced to market exhibits at the World's Fair and Expositions held in San Francisco and Chicago.  All images are reproduced on museum-quality archival paper and are available in a wide variety of sizes. The Christmas gift ideas below are from the collection of World's Fair posters archived on Vintagraph, so be sure to head over and check them all out if you don't see something here that's of interest.

1939 World's Fair on San Francisco Bay: The San Francisco World's Fair 1939 was known as the Golden Gate International Exposition and celebrated the recently dedicated San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge. The Fair was operated in 1939 and 1940 on San Francisco's Treasure Island.

Indian Court: A 1939 WPA Federal Art Project poster for the Indian Court exhibit at the Golden Gate International Exposition in San Francisco, California, showing a Haida Indian blanket design.

Chicago World's Fair: The Chicago World's Fair Century of Progress Exposition of 1933 was held to celebrate the city's centennial and was built around a theme of technological innovation. The fair's motto was: "Science Finds, Industry Applies, Man Conforms." This poster shows the Federal Building with a gold dome and three fluted towers that represent the three branches of United States Government.
